Another death news just came..
my previous maid’s husband in korea just passed away suddenly,
leaving her and their 9 year old kid.
This is really really sad.
My heartfelt condolences to her family.

Being away,
struggling to earn enough money to support their family, its really not easy on them. We always treat all our maids as part of our family. We are all the same, humans!
She was with us from 1994-1998, then she left for HK. That was my growing up years.. She left an impression on me. Thereafter, I’ve never seen her again. Just the occasional calls from her, get me really excited. Telling us she got married at last with her husband, then came a child! :)
I finally got to see her again early this year, 2009. She came back to SG to work. all the excitement of finally meeting her again!!
It must be a really devasting news for her. I really hope she copes well.
Receiving news of death when you are overseas, just feels so horrible.
I remembered when my grandaunt passed away, while I was overseas, everybody had to keep the news until I returned home. Then realized, she’s gone, forever.
As I was telling my friends the story of the hawker aunty crossing the road, and getting knocked down by a taxi.. We all thought that no matter how careful you are, if its bound to happen, it will happen to you. Pedestrians do have the right, if the driver aint careful, you get knock. If drivers are careful, and pedestrians are reckless.. they get knock down too.
Whatever it is, just treasure every moment you have on earth.
